Tired, Tired, Tired…

Sorry for the lack of update this past week.  Work got super busy (Hurrah) and I even had to trek out to my client twice this week for meetings.

Plus, I’m just tired.

I’m sleeping 10 hours a night with a 2-4 hour nap in the afternoons.  Just no energy at all.  AT ALL.  The 30 second walk from the door to the mailbox and back is exhausting.  I think it’s a bit of the Aplastic Anemia combined with stress and a shot of depression.  I’ve had a headache for weeks.

Anyways, I’m fed up with feeling like crap.

My cat is enjoying my being in bed most of the day because then he can curl up next to me like a little heater all day.

Little shit!

I’ve been taking the Tamoxifen for a week now.  Other than tearing up my stomach for the first few days, I’m not feeling any bad side effects.   One good side effect is that my tumor doesn’t hurt as much.   Did you know that BC tumors hurt?  I didn’t know either until it got to the point of being diagnosable.  It is heavy and tender and shoots out stabby pains.  Going over speed bumps is super painful.   Now, it isn’t as bad most of the time.  Which is nice!

The goal is to get the beast to shrink.  I can’t tell if that is happening but I see my oncologist on the 23rd and he might be able to tell.  He used some kind of funky plastic knife type thing to measure it the last time I was there.  I’m sure he will bust that out next time as well.

In fun stuff:

Orly (the nail polish) has made a few new colors in honor of Pinktober!  Proceeds go to Fran Drescher’s Cancer Schmancer organization.  One of the colors is called FIGHT-ON!

It’s a glittery pale pink and so purdy!!!

Before I forget, HURRAH to USC and Coach O for a big win against the Arizona Wildcats!!!

FIGHT ON!

  1. I know the feeling of being sick and tired of being sick and tired! My father also had aplastic anemia I know how much it takes out of a person. ironically he found out he had it when he retired because he would donate blood every six months where he worked because he had a rare blood type.

Totally going to get that nail polish this weekend and even though I generally can’t stand pink (I’m boring, I wear “natural” shades only on my nails) I’m going to wear it constantly until we get news that your cancer is GONE.

    FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!
